Cujo

About Juggernaut Canine Cujo

Personality/Temperament

Cujo requires an experienced owner, someone with Working Breed or Doberman experience. He has full on leash and off leash obedience. He loves female dogs, puppies, and will even play with other friendly males after proper introductions. He is a bit of a paradox, being that he is an exceptionally goofy dog that at times takes himself very seriously.

Cujo is not considered a "human social" dog with members outside of his family, although he is perfectly happy to be around strangers that refrain from direct interactions. While Cujo is never expected to entertain guests, he is expected to be neutral. Thanks to his training and socialization, he will tolerate appropriate interactions where he is not treated flippantly. He is considered a "sharp" dog that needs to be handled with care.

Cujo is typically a "one person" kind of dog that will form a strong bond to a single handler. This is typically the person that offers him the most consistent structure and routine. The way to his heart, is also through his stomach.

It's important to note that Cujo requires extra consideration as he is not a dog for the average home. He will live out the rest of his years here at Juggernaut, before he leaves to a home that is anything less than prefect.

Drives and Interests

Cujo has low prey drive, and medium chase drive. He is most driven by toys and food. He will tug away at a squeaky toy and will put on a performance for a single treat. He also loves to go for runs, hikes off leash, and play time with his favorite dog friends.

Breed History

Sleek and powerful, possessing both a magnificent physique and keen intelligence, the Doberman Pinscher is one of dogkind's noblemen. This incomparably fearless and vigilant breed stands proudly among the world's finest protection dogs. Dobermans are compactly built dogs' muscular, fast, and powerful standing between 24 to 28 inches at the shoulder. The body is sleek but substantial, and is covered with a glistening coat of black, blue, red, or fawn, with rust markings. These elegant qualities, combined with a noble wedge-shaped head and an easy, athletic way of moving, have earned Dobermans a reputation as royalty in the canine kingdom. A well-conditioned Doberman on patrol will deter all but the most foolish intruder.
